[rs=2] | Earth is a very powerful element, without it we cannot exist. Gale knows that, probably because he belongs to the Terra Clan here in the city of Venice. It’s always been like that for this twenty-five years old playboy, with his fair blond hair, his lively brown eyes, toned body and cheeky smile. He’s got plenty of tattoos that are his “journal” or so he describes them. Don’t bother talking to him about fashion or explaining to him why he should follow it, he is the comfy jeans and t-shirt kind of guy and unless he has a very important event to attend to, he won’t really make an effort to change that. But he doesn’t really need to, handsome as he is, and he knows it. All his man power in his laugh and his talk, a casanova with words smooth as silk and seductive. He will charm you right out of your panties, he will make you feel like your words are the most beautiful music and what you say it’s more important than anything else happening around. He will give you all his attention, fix his eyes on you and trap you in his spell. Unfortunately for you, Gale will treat you like the queen you deserve to be… until he gets bored and finds somebody else. He is a very good friend, you could trust him with your life, he will move earth and sky to help you if you need him. But if you’re a woman he will only be a danger for you unless you stay in the friend zone. Gale is a very kind soul, he worries about the well-being of those around him, nurture his bonds with friends, it’s very close to his family... he could be the perfect guy. Could be but he is really not. Born a rebel and a very sensitive guy it’s not the best combo for someone as impatient and impulsive as he is. You will believe otherwise, being a Terra member, but he won’t sit and watch things grown, he will act and then think, probably realizing it was a bad idea to act once the mess is already done. Then he will try to fix it, and feel very guilty about it and punish himself for being such a reckless idiot and messing it up in the first place. And it’s like that with everything. That means he became a bit of a depressive guy on the inside, always beating himself for not being good enough, or kind enough, or hard-worker enough or… whatever adjective he could think of at the moment. Gale felt more of a burden than a blessing for her parents, who had a farm in a remote place in America. When he was old enough, he left for the enchanting and mysterious city of Venice, where he heard was a big clan of Terra members, just like him. In America, his biggest secret was his powers. Growing up surrounded by normal human beings and not a living soul, apart from your family, with the same ability as you was very difficult for him indeed. He’s always been talkative, the kind of guy who will just trust you and tell you everything he’s thinking, and if he’s not telling you then you’ll probably pick it up from his open face. Gale was a very innocent child, very loved and protected by his family, but you cannot remind innocent forever when the kids surrounding you will call you freak for being different and so on. Kids can be very cruel indeed, and believe it or not puberty wasn’t very kind to him either, so all of that went on and on until he had no self-love or esteem left in him. His home became his sacred place and somewhat of a cage and the world outside his personal hell. Gale found refuge in small pleasures as gardening, reading, swimming, exercising, cooking… everything that had to do with nature and outside activities, usually by himself. As he exercised, specially under the rain, his favorite, he started to become less of horrible freak and more of the sexy freak. Girls started to look at him with different eyes, he started to develop his charms as a guy on them, only making guy hate him even more than they already did. When high school was over and his reputation as a ladies’ man reached its highest it was time to move and Venice was the chosen place. Gale spent the last seven years developing his powers under the tutelage of another Terra members, and he has discovered he’s very good at it, as if he was born to do nothing else on this earth. He also discovered other pleasures, away from his parents as he was; he discovered parties, a very good companion in alcohol and even more girls. This outgoing guy made himself a very nice reputation around Venice, he was the popular guy, the gold start, the soul of the party, funny, intelligent, with always a beauty on his arms a smile on his face. And what’s the best job for someone like him? He opened a disco, one of them most famous around the world now. Inside though, he feels nothing of it. He smiles but he feels he could be doing much better than he is doing, that there’s something missing in this picture, something he could do differently. There’s always the nagging voice in his head saying that people around him only wants him for the free drinks, for the gold shower that followed him everywhere, the fame, the blinding lights, the name in the newspaper. His mind informed Gale that he might go on and give everything he was and had to his friends, generous being the key to surround himself by good friends, a desperate way of not finding himself alone, something he is terrified of, and to be loved and appreciated by the people, something he always lacked of in his childhood no matter how hard his family tried to fill that void, but once he did all that his mind would turn everyone into enemies and backstabbing friends, making of him a paranoic. Gale’s most secret desires are to be loved and find that something that he is missing in his life. He seems to have it all; fame, girls, friends, popularity, the looks, the talk, the mind… but he is not happy with all of it, and he doesn’t seem to be able to fix that depressive side of him that prevents him from enjoying and appreciating everything he had achieved in life with his own effort. |
