-------------------------------------------------
While Charlotte looks good, she also acts good. She enjoys helping people the best she can. Even if she doesn't know the person, she'll do her best to assist them. Drawing is another thing she does often. She's able to draw anything from plants and animals to people and buildings, and even outer space. She's very skilled with her hands. Music is also a big part of Charlotte's life. She likes to escape with her stereo, singing to every song she knows and dancing like there's no tomorrow. She doesn't sing in front of other people, however. Animals are also one of her favorite things in the world. She owns two dogs, a male siberian husky named Scwigit, and a female siberian husky named Gizmo. She also has one dark ginger she-cat named Serui. She loves her animals a lot, and wouldn't trade them for anything. Charlotte is also big on staying fit, and will often take her dogs excersing with her. She likes jogging around the city to stay fit, and eats healthy, though from time to time she will eat fast food. Despite her maturity, however, Charlotte still watches morning cartoons. She misses the simplicity of her childhood where she didn't have to worry about war and keeping herself alive. Her favorite is Pokemon. While watching these cartoons, her favorite breakfast for doing so is cereal. Yeah, she can be an adult when she wants. But in the mornings during the cartoons, she'll be a child. And nobody can tell her otherwise. Another thing that Lottie likes is rain. It keeps her calm, and she can practice her element. She loves practicing her element, because when she is manipulating the water she feels completely at peace, and like she can be herself.
-------------------------------------------------
One thing Charlotte can't stand, however, is the war. She doesn't like conflict and will do everything to avoid it if she can. But if she can't, Charlotte will fight with all she has. Jerks is also a thing she hates. They show off, they're rude, they're just plain nasty and though Charlotte can handle them as well as anyone. Sure, she can be nice when she wants to be, but Charlotte can be just as dangerous as a raging bull. One thing she hates is that her emotions often control her element. If she is mad, or sad, or frightened, you'll probably get whipped with water. And it will hurt. Physical contact will trigger a water-whip against you. She hates being touched. No touchy. She also isn't very trusting, and has a sharp dislike of men. She doesn't trust them. She hates them. No doubt about it. And she isn't afraid to kick anyone's ass who tries to touch her without her permission. With that said, she also doesn't like being talked at. This means being talked to without being able to reply at all. It's rude, and she doesn't like it. Creepy, crawly things like spiders and snakes. Also a no-no. It creeps her out and she won't go anywhere near it. She also won't go near anything slimy. She is NOT a girly girl, but she doesn't do slime. Cold weather is also on her hate list. During cold weather, you can find Charlotte in her house being a lonely turtle. And the last thing on her hate list is liars. She won't stand for liars. If you lie to Lottie, you've lost her trust. Maybe forever.
-------------------------------------------------
Charlotte's biggest strength is her element. She practices day and night for six hours, twelve hours total, a day. Why? It isn't because she doesn't have a life. She does. It's just, however, she wants to know she can depend on water to save her if she needs it in a time of great need. Speed and agility is also on her side. She is short, lightweight. So she can move quickly on her feet, and think just as fast. Catching her in a chase is like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands. She will twist and turn and run and jump and use her flexibility to her advantage. Your best bet is try and corner her, if you can. She's street smart, so I wish you the best of luck. Speaking of street smarts, she is also a fantastic actress. She can do it all. She can cry on command, go from love to hatred in a nanosecond, talk her way out of almost any situation. She will manipulate you, if she has to, to get out of a sticky situation.
-------------------------------------------------
Believe it or not, but Lottie hates people. She really does. So
-------------------------------------------------
Charlotte doesn't tell anyone her secrets. The one she tries the hardest to hide is hidden behind a wall of strength and stubbornness. When she was fourteen, she had been walking home and was attacked by a group of men, dragged to a nearby alley, and was sexually assaulted. Since then, she hates men and hates being touched anywhere on her body. Even her hands and arms. No touchy anywhere. Her second secret is that those men were her brother's friends. She never told anyone who it was, not even her brother, though she knew exactly who they were.
-------------------------------------------------
Charlotte has a habit of stuttering when she gets nervous. She'll scratch at her wrists and look at the ground, stuttering every other word. It takes a lot to get her nervous, unless your a guy, so this doesn't happen often. Yes, call it weird, but Charlotte also has a habit of talking to herself. She will walk around the city muttering to herself, having entire conversations with herself. Most people actually avoid Charlotte, calling her the local looney. But does Charlotte care? No. Another of her biggest habits is playing with her hair. When she is bored, she will play with her hair. Most of the time she doesn't even realize she is, she just does. If she gets upset in any way, you'll notice her element will show. Her emotions are 70% of her element control.
-------------------------------------------------
Everybody has fears, and Charlotte's biggest fear is men. She feels skittish and uncomfortable around them, but still acts tough, hiding her fear. She'll hide behind a wall of sarcasm and bravado. It's not easy to see through, but every now and again you will spot a crack. Her other biggest fear is small, enclosed spaces. She'll turn into the energizer bunny, shaking and trembling and bouncing around with anxiety. Small rooms, alleys, hallways. These things will trigger her anxiety and fear.
-------------------------------------------------
As well as fears, she has desires. One desire, despite her fears, is to fall in love. She wants to meet a man who she won't have to fear, a man she can look to for protection. She wants someone who can keep her safe and make her feel loved. And after she falls in love and gets married, she wants to have children of her own. She loves kids, and wants to have kids, and would love nothing more than a family of her own.
-------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------
Charlotte was born in England to two very proud parents. Her mother was Saralynn Kies, and just a mere regular human. Her father, however, was an water named James Kies. Charlotte was the youngest of four children, the other three being brothers. Two were water, one was human. This didn't bother James though, he had a family and that is all he cared about. But as Charlotte grew older, her father started to tell her things. Told her stories. And one day, he took her to the outside of town, to a river, and he showed her what she could do.
Charlotte was amazed, but when she tried it herself nothing happened. Her father told her to not worry, learning her element would take time. The next time they came to the river, the whole family came, including Saralynn. She watched in amazement as her family practiced their abilities with their father, and Charlotte started to catch on quickly. Her father taught her defensive moves that would protect her if she ran into any trouble. How to change the density of the water so it would be like water or be like a brick wall.
Lottie had a lot of fun practicing, and when she was fourteen her abilities were tested. She had been walking home late at night and heard some guys behind her, laughing loudly and talking. She started to get nervous. There were four of them, one of her. Sure, she had the power of water, but she didn't know if they did too, or if they had another ability, or if they were just human. So she walked a little faster, and turned a corner. The men followed her. Her heart started to race and the men fanned out a bit. What she didn't realize was that she was being herded.
She just wanted to stay away from them. It was then she looked back and saw only three men. Her brows furrowed. Where was the fourth? She was walking by a dark alley when someone grabbed her. She screamed, but it was quickly cut off when a hand clamped tight over her mouth. She was dragged into the darkness and the three other men quickly joined them. She was told that if she screamed, they would kill her.
The next morning, she was found by her brothers. Them and their father had been searching for her all night since she didn't come home. With a quick phone call to James, the men of the Kies family surrounded Charlotte. Her clothes lay in shreds around her, and her body was covered in bruises. She was given a sweatshirt by her oldest brother, Mason, who had been wearing it. The sweatshirt covered her body almost to her knees. From there, she was taken home and cared for.
When questioned by the police, Charlotte struggled to remember what the men looked like. All she remembered was that they were tall, white men. She didn't know who they were, or why they had done what they had to her. The days went by, but the case went cold and eventually was dropped. Charlotte didn't like that. And neither did her family. Since then, her brothers kept a close watch on her. Especially when her father died in a fight against a fire element. Their mother was so aggrieved that she had taken her own life. Without parents, Charlotte clung to her brothers for protection.
Since her parents' deaths, the four keep in touch. They talk often. Every other night, they all meet up and go out to dinner or movies or just sit at one of their homes and just laugh and talk. Charlotte works as a veterinarian for animals, to eat up her time in the day. But she doesn't need the money. Her brothers insist on paying for her apartment, the food she eats, and just all the basic bills. She doesn't mind, loving how her brothers take care of her. But she does, at times, hide the payments from them. She doesn't want to feel like royalty. She just wants to be normal.
