take me back to your bed I love you so much that it hurts my head. Say, I don't mind you under my skin. I'll let the bad parts in, the bad parts in. TAGGED: gale / alba OUTFIT: click As she finished her food, her three brothers fought over the bill. They had taken her out for some lunch and they had eaten until their bellies were ready to pop. She watched them with amusement as they blabbered about who was going to pay it before Charlotte snatched the tiny little bill folder from them and stuck some money inside. "There. I payed for it." She smiled innocently. The brothers looked at her with slightly widened eyes and she scowled. "I do have money." She retorted softly and the four left the restaurant, talking about when they'd be going out again, and she heard someone mention next week. She smiled and left them to the planning.
It was then another group of men walked by them, one of them brushing Charlotte's arm. The brothers responded immediately and huddled a little closer to Charlotte. She shrugged them away. "I'm alright." She muttered to her protective brothers and they asked if she would be okay walking back to her apartment. She nodded. "Of course. It's just around the corner and down the street." She said and they nodded, still uncertain. She grinned and turned them around and gently pushed them in the opposite direction. "Go. I'll be fine. Besides, it's by the canal. I'll be okay." She said in a whisper and they nodded. With that, she turned and walked around the corner, thinking to herself. She was distracted with her thoughts, not noticing she was walking straight toward another person, and smacked right into him. She grunted as she fell backward and hit the ground. waiting a lifetime for your touch As the morning light rushed into his room and fell upon his eyes, Gale tossed around in the bed, trying to get back to sleep. But it was too late, the noises of the busy street below his balcony, the sun high in the sky made it impossible for him to go back to dreamland. He groaned and looked at the watch in his bedside table, it was past noon, past lunch time, past everything deemed appropriated. But he didn’t find it in himself to care about it. Rubbing the sleep off his eyes, he rested on his back and watched the ceiling of his room, trying to remember a reason why he should get out of bed and start the day. As no real reason came up to his mind he groaned again and just got up, walked a few feet to the bathroom and looked himself in the mirror, turning the water on. He wasn’t surprised of the tired expression that looked back at him. ‘You are loved, people cares about you, you are needed, you need to believe in yourself’ with a sigh he repeated the mantra in his mind as he splashed his face with cold water and plastered a smile on his face. Now, this was more like it, the man staring back at him with that familiar face, the mask was on.
Once he was happy with the result, he moved on to the kitchen to get his coffee started and then to the living room to make some morning exercise while the coffee brewed in the small iron kettle. Gale always felt much better after exercising, his mind centering and becoming less of a mess and easier to control. Nights were a nightmare for him, when it opened the doors of the hidden room in his mind and filled his head with the thoughts he dreaded. But exercising was calming, it was control, he could feel it in his muscles, in the fire inside his body, his elaborated breath as he pushed harder and harder. The sound of the kettle and the rich smell of coffee made his stomach protest and he abandoned his routine, body glistening in sweat and went straight to another of his addictions. Coffee. He rested his back on the open window, mug in hand, and looked down at the busy and colorful streets of Venice going on with its day. Such a beautiful, clear, day, another day in paradise.
Gale is too much of an outdoors person to even conside staying inside when such a beautiful day was screaming his name. He took a quick, cold shower, threw some clothes on and stepped into the sun as some of the street vendors with fresh vegetables and fruits greeted him. He bought a peach, warm and rich and wonderfully sweet and walked towards the park that was just at the corner of his small apartment. Because where on earth would he be more comfortable than surrounded by trees and grass? As he ate, he walked aimlessly and distracted by everything around him, he didn’t really see it coming until it was too late. She just bumped straight into him, lost balanced and hit the ground. Gale grimaced, that sure had to hurt. Immediately after he was on his knees, eye level to the girl, keeping a safe distance, though, in case she wanted to punch him or something. “Are you hurt?” Gale asked the most important questions first and then the apologies. Looking closely, the girl seemed to be the kind of girl Gale would hit on; blonde, petite, slim… the opportunity couldn’t be better but he wasn’t very sure that today he was in the mood for anything, really. “I didn’t see you coming. I’m sorry.” He offered a small apologetically smile and his hand. [/div] [/div]

take me back to your bed I love you so much that it hurts my head. Say, I don't mind you under my skin. I'll let the bad parts in, the bad parts in. TAGGED: gale / alba OUTFIT: click She looked up and saw a man standing over her. Immediately, flashes of that one night raced through her head and though she wanted to, she didn't run away from this man screaming. That would be rude. And, to others, odd. But with a guy this close to her, Lottie's blood was definitely singing with adrenaline. Her brothers couldn't be far. Just around the corner. She shook her head. No. She could handle this on her own. The canal was only five feet away. It was then she spoke, asking if she was hurt. Why would a guy care how a girl feels? It didn't make sense to her. She shook her head again and watched him with cautious eyes. "No, that was my fault. I wasn't paying attention..." Her voice was softy and she looked down to see the contents of her satchel scattered. She quickly scooped them back into her bag and stood, dusting herself off and watching him.
Despite her every instinct screaming at her through microphones to get the hell away from this man, she couldn't. She couldn't deny that he was good looking. She couldn't deny he interested her. Would she admit it aloud? Never in a million years. It was then she felt someone, other than the guy in front of her, watching her. She turned her head slightly over her shoulder and saw three more men standing on the corner twenty feet away. She almost panicked before she realized they were her brothers. They were ignoring Lottie and the man. Or so it seemed. They appeared just as regular guys having a conversation. But Lottie knew better. She started to walk away from them, gesturing the man with her eyes to follow. She wanted to... No... She needed to prove to herself, and her brothers, she could take care of herself. Nonetheless, she kept an eye on the man. "What's your name?" She asked curiously. NOTES: can't wait to get these two started<3

waiting a lifetime for your touch Her beautiful face was filled with worry, or fear, Gale couldn’t really decide which of the two as she looked at his face. It was quickly gone though, replaced by determination. She refused his hand, picked up the contents of her satchel and got up, dusting herself off. Gale had to look down; she was quite small for someone like him, lean and with a nice figure. “Why don’t we say it was both our faults and call it even?” The easy smile he was so used to slowly making an appearance, curving his lips. A moment ago he really wasn’t in the mood for anything, apart from enjoying a solitary walk around the park and probably a solitary late lunch somewhere. Now he was standing there, in front of a girl he couldn’t quite figure out. She seemed tense, wary of him, as if his only presence was disturbing. He decided to just leave it at that, walk away and move on with his day, probably forgetting this even happened in the first place hours later. And then, just like that, she turned her head to him, gestured him to follow and asked for his name. Now, when a total stranger gestures you to follow for no reason whatsoever, you would probably very politely refuse, wave goodbye and walk in the other direction as quickly as possible, especially if said stranger was acting as suspicious as this girl in front of him was. Then again, Gale is not really known for his common sense, so he walked besides her at an easy peace. “I’m Gale.” He answered. For some reason he couldn’t quite fathom, he kept a safety distance with this girl, in case she was ready to attack him. She seemed to be ready to flee, or to be fighting something very hard inside her. “So, what’s yours?” A day at a time; Gale’s motto and probably why he was so impulsive and disorganized with his day. One moment he was walking, peach in hand, around the park having an okay day, not really thinking about what to do and the ext he was walking next to a complete stranger that looked like she wanted to be somewhere else entirely but for some reason wanted him to follow. Their steps took them near the canal, a place where Gale should have felt uncomfortable but didn’t. Nature grows because of water, nature it’s made partly of water and though it wasn’t his element, he liked it as much as he liked his trees and flowers. “Not that this walk is not nice or anything, or wanting to ruin the mood but… are you gonna attack me and throw my inert body to the canal?” He asked with his easy smile and a nonchalant manner. He figured keeping it casual and easy with the girl could eventually relax her, not that he had any explanation why she wanted his company in the first place, but he wasn’t really going to question it, was he? And there should be any safe topic between them, some common ground… or something. [/div] [/div]

take me back to your bed I love you so much that it hurts my head. Say, I don't mind you under my skin. I'll let the bad parts in, the bad parts in. TAGGED: gale / alba OUTFIT: click She watched him closely, listening to him talk. His voice had a calming effect on her. It was almost hypnotizing. It made her heart race with terror. She would not be drawn in by his voice or his anything. For all she knew, this man was a serial killer. The thought made her heart race even faster, and the water in the canal stirred slightly. She noticed it quickly and put a lid on her fear. The water, as quickly as it started moving, stilled. The speed of which the water stirred and stilled again, it could've been a fish. Yeah. It was a fish. Because she didn't want this guy to know she was water. In case he was human, or another element. Oh god... What had she gotten herself into? Her phone buzzed and she glanced at it. A text. She kept walking as she looked at it. "What are you doing? Who is he?" It was from her eldest brother, Ryan. Her brows furrowed and she glanced behind her again. Her brothers were following forty feet back, slowly. Not making themselves noticeable. They were still laughing and joking. She shook her head and texted back for them to leave her be. It was then she realized Gale had asked her name. "I'm Charlotte. My brothers call me Lottie." She said and looked up at him with a polite smile, forcing herself to relax.
She could not lose control here. Not only would he find out she was water, but so would everyone else. She didn't want that kind of attention. His next question made her laugh. Genuinely laugh. Her smile seemed to light up the whole city brighter than the sun ever could. "No. I mean, I suppose I could if I tried. But I won't." She giggled. Though, if he provoked her, she'd use a water whip to slam him into the wall four feet to her right side and pin him with an ice blanket from the neck down so he couldn't hurt her. And she'd do both in the time it took to blink if he touched her with even a single harmful finger. She knew she could if she had to. She knew she would. NOTES: can't wait to get these two started<3

waiting a lifetime for your touch She didn’t seem to keen on talking so Gale let her be with her own thoughts. He was more or less the same, blocking the world when more important matters where rushing in his head. The girl apparently was half in the earth and half somewhere else, distracted, scared, cautious… it reminded him of a dove being hunted in the woods. It was strange because he didn’t see himself as a hunter. Sure he was bigger than her and a complete stranger, but it had been her who had beckoned him to follow, not the other way around. He simply shrugged the thoughts from his head and watched the calm water of the canal as gondolas with tourist and vendors disturbed its surface. It was weird, but the company was not totally unwelcome. Finally she came back to earth and volunteered her name. Gale smiled, this girl was a puzzle. “Then I hope you don’t mind if I call you Charlie.” One of the things about him was that he didn’t like being like everyone else. He liked to leave a distinctive mark, something difficult to forget, a place hard to fill by anyone else once he was gone. She started to relax and his silly question even made her laugh which was the whole point. Gale measured her against him, her size, her weight, her possible speed… and concluded she probably wouldn’t be much of a threat if she really wanted to kill him and throw his body to the canal. Him being a Terra member and her being probably a harmless, quite fragile human. Besides, this girl seemed more the kind of fleeing instead of fighting back, her whole body was screaming for an emergency exit, ready to run in case of threat. “That would be a bit difficult, you know. Me not being keen on getting attacked and all.” He said smiling again. “You probably don’t weight more than a leaf though I have no intention on testing the theory.” And it was true. Gale knew with Charlie there was no easy approach, no contact whatsoever, and he guessed emotionally she was another fortress, just like him. The difference being, he was social and protected his fortress by diverting the attention while all her being screamed for it to be targeted. Especially for someone who was as curious as Gale. “And I hope you don’t want to test it either, it wouldn’t be very polite.” Given the circumstances, when they had met each other by bumping and falling to the floor and possibly getting a nice bruise afterwards, politeness was a bit off the way, but it never hurt trying. “So if you are not planning on that… where are you taking me?” This was the best way, he knew by experience. With her a girl like Charlie, give her the illusion of control and power and things will ran smoothly. [/div] [/div]

take me back to your bed I love you so much that it hurts my head. Say, I don't mind you under my skin. I'll let the bad parts in, the bad parts in. TAGGED: gale / alba OUTFIT: click She blinked up at him. "Charlie...?" She thought on the new nickname for a moment and decided she liked it. She nodded. "Charlie it is." She smiled and when he commented on her possible attack, she couldn't stop the giggle. "Look can be deceiving, Mr. Gale." She smirked and kept walking, listening to him talk. "No. It would be quite rude." She agreed with a smile and then his spoke again. "Well actually..." She blushed. "I'm trying to prove a point." She admitted and looked at him. "If you look behind you, you will see three men forty feet back. Each a different age. Their my brothers and think I can't handle myself. They're quite protective of me. But I'm trying to prove I can handle myself." She nodded, not caring if Gale actually looked or not. "I appreciate their concern and all, but sometimes it feels like their suffocating me with all their concern." She mumbled.
She loved her brothers. She really did. But as she talked more and more to Gale, she realized she wanted to handle things on her own once and awhile. She didn't blame her brothers. She didn't blame them at all. They were protective for a reason. She shook her head, clearing the thoughts. "Do you have any siblings, Gale?" She asked curiously, looking up at him again. As she watched him, she couldn't help but realize just how good looking he was with his golden hair and emerald eyes. He was hot. She could not deny it. NOTES: can't wait to get these two started<3

waiting a lifetime for your touch If you are a Terra Clan member and have a question about female companions, the guy to ask is usually Gale. Proclaimed Casanova, with his easy going smile and charming personality, he knows everything there is to know about woman and the secrets of seducing them. As he watched the stranger creature with the shape of a woman that was right now next to him, he decided he really didn’t know much about real women. A woman who values herself, confident and that knows what she wants. Someone who would ask for pleasure because she knows it’s her right to get it, someone who moved around the world with the strong pace of the ones that belonged there. Charlie was one of them. Another girl would have just laughed and accepted his nickname, thinking it romantic or whatever, she tested it, saw if it say something about her, if it resembled her personality and then she decided she liked it. She didn’t simply accepted it, she made it hers.
Gale didn’t really need to look at her again to know that looks could be really deceiving. Charlie was a box of surprises and the fun had just begun. “That I know, Lady Charlie.” He said giving her s mall bow. “Then again I know facts are facts.” And there was so much a simple human could do. She could be fast, agile, whatever but his powers gave him a huge advantage over her… and she was a woman. Never mind Charlie could be a secret ninja… Gale was trained in fight, too, and he was no light weight. “I’ll accept that as an apology for half-kidnapping me.” He winked at her and looked once again at the canal bursting with life. He waved at one of the vendors that make rounds around his apartment; he waved back while loading his boat with fresh fish. For some reason he couldn’t explain he didn’t feel offended or used, quite the contrary, it made sense coming from her. It explained, putting all the pieces together, why all her body at first was screaming for an escape and still beckoned him to follow. Now she was much more relaxed, probably the point she was trying to prove already fading. “And what are you exactly trying to handle by yourself really?” That was the key strange point in all this. So okay, she was trying to prove the point she could handle herself, but Gale had been someone she had bumped against, only, a polite apology would have done it, they could have parted ways and gone home. There was nothing else to handle here. If he had tried to hit on her, attack her or… sell her something, then there would have been some kind of situation that might have needed handling, but that? “Well, it looks like you give them reasons to be overprotective… with kidnapping strangers and all… besides I think they are more trying to clean the mess after you than actually protect you.” He winked at her, a black cloud over head casted by some unknown memory in her mind, something he wasn’t part of and really didn’t want to be part of. “I’m afraid not. I was enough trouble for my parents… I don’t think they could have handled another mini me.” Sometimes he wished he had another sibling to play with, someone he didn’t have to hide his powers to… “It’s alright, I guess. More share of the dessert for me at dinner. I’m not much of a sharing person.” [/div] [/div]

take me back to your bed I love you so much that it hurts my head. Say, I don't mind you under my skin. I'll let the bad parts in, the bad parts in. TAGGED: gale / alba OUTFIT: click It was then he asked what she was trying to handle herself. She wanted to prove to her brothers, and also herself she realized, that men were nothing to fear. Since her fourteenth year of life, she had practiced more than ever with her element. Now she could make a simple drop of water feel like a tiny punch to the face and still make it hurt somewhat badly. She sighed softly. "I'm trying to prove I can handle myself, okay? That I can protect myself." She muttered softly, and knew he must have been a little curious. If not, oh well. "I got.... Hurt, when I was younger. And now I'm trying to make my brothers see I'm not in pain anymore." That was one way of putting it, but it was still a lie and she knew it. And her brothers knew it too.
But she really was tired of being afraid all the time. A healthy minded person wouldn't wake up every day and wonder if they would get robbed today, or assaulted by drunken men. A healthy minded person would wake up every day thinking about how glorious of a day it might be. Charlie was door number one. She woke up in fear of her life every morning, and every night would be full of nightmares. In fact, for the past week, she had stayed with her brothers are their home because the nightmares were so terrible. Tonight, however, she would brave it out. She looked at Gale. "Have you ever been hurt...?" She asked quietly, knowing the question was a bit personal. But at the moment, she wanted to know. Did he fear life like she did? waiting a lifetime for your touch Humans are strange creatures. Charlie was just another shade of a million colors and Gale never really knew how to handle his way around woman like her. He knew there was more to her answer, of course, and that she really didn’t have a clear idea of why she was doing this, and didn’t want to give it much thought. For someone whose life was based on rushed and spur of the moment decisions, it was somehow normal not to really try and find why thing are the way they are, or why there should be a real reason behind what a person is doing. He shrugged, not wanting to force her further, it was enough to go ankle-deep in a black pool of feelings of a girl like Charlie, he didn’t want to get swallowed. “I think the only person you should be trying to convince with that act it’s more yourself than them.” He said, not looking at her in the eye but farther… all the way to dusted and caged memories in his mind long forgotten. “They will only leave you alone when they can really see it for themselves. But that’s just my theory.” He could tell she was making the effort, as difficult as the memories might be, and was trying to put the pieces of her life back into shape. Pain has a way of shattering lives, putting things upside down, making sure you never see things from the same window again… Pain changes people, and shapes them and sometimes… pain swallows people and consumes them. She didn’t need to tell him how she got hurt, the way she had moved and behaved around her was all the explanation he needed. He smiled, sadly, not really pitying her, Gale was sure Charlie didn’t need more pity, especially one coming from a male stranger. Instead, he tried to be honest to her, maybe even opening one of those caged memories of his, the ones he had tried so hard to forget. “Not in the same way as you.” He replied, simply. “But we all had been hurt, in one way or another. Hurt and pain are only shadows that take a lot of shapes.” The sad smile never left his face. He had been hurt, sure enough. “It’s even more difficult to deal with it when the monsters you are fighting… are inside your head.” Like the ones he had to fight every day. Gale had been hurt… and all the damage had come from himself. Of course, being out casted and shipped off to another city had helped with it, but mostly the hurt had come from his paranoia, his desire to achieve dreams that were impossible, to strive a perfection that was only an illusion. “You know, the thing about getting hurt it’s to not let it become who you are.” Wear it as a badge, a medal for surviving the pain or fighting it with all your might, but not as an identity, losing yourself to the point you are only the pain and nothing else. The sickness in your mind, the darkness of your soul. “You have to look at yourself in the mirror and look beneath all those fears, try to get a glimpse of the person who is beneath it all and hold on to it for dear life… should you ever lose it again, it’s in you to go ahead and look for it again… that’s if you are actually able to face all the… crap… that it’s gonna come from it.” Gale usually wore his depression inside, and fought it with all the tools in his hands. He usually hided it from people and used to it to help other people. He was trying very hard for it not to get control of his life, and it was hard work to look for that Gale behind all the sadness and dark thoughts and lifetime of failures. [/div] [/div]

TAGGED: gale / alba OUTFIT: click She watched him with sad eyes. "But what if the monsters are still all around you, and you know it, but don't want to believe it? Because if you do, you fear for your sanity?" She asked quietly. Even as she walked beside him, giving him a sneak peek into her mind with these questions, she still feared he could be like the one of them who had raped her. For all she knew, he could have been one of them. She hadn't seen their faces that night, but she did remember one had blond hair. The thought made her shudder very noticeably, as if a gust of icy wind had just blown by her, despite the warm sun in the cloudless sky. It was then a hand on her shoulder made her jump and gasp loudly, and she spun around, water in the canal next to them splashing slightly. She glared and shoved Ryan back.
"Dammit it, Ryan! What do you want?" She asked, clearly annoyed by him. He smiled in amusement, watching Charlie for a moment. "Just wondering if you wanted to hang out with us tonight." His words came as kind, but she could see he was glancing at Gale, sizing him up silently. "No, I have plans with Gale." She said simply and Ryan finally gave his attention to Gale, his eyes glaring lightly. Charlotte got in the way. "Go away, Ryan!" She snarled, and he looked at the smaller girl with a look of surprise that she used such a tone with him. So surprised, he walked away without another word. She watched him return to her other two brothers, their heads bent together as they talked quietly for a moment. They all glanced at her and Gale and turned to walk away. Charlie glared after them. waiting a lifetime for your touch Gale could understand her paranoia, her need for reassurance that the world wasn’t such a bad place and that not everyone around you was the same. And not everyone was, but most of them sure were. Most of them would be ready to attack her or betray her or rob her… because human nature will always make them place their necessities and vices first and then think of the rest. Did they live much better that way? Gale could not know, but he knew that blaming himself for everything bad that happened around him and placing everyone first and them himself wasn’t of much help either. “Look around you.” He motioned to the canal, the colorful picturesque scene of merchants and shoppers going on with their business, laughing, joking, making deals… it was hard to believe under the blazing sun of this morning, with the sweet fragrance of fruits and flowers around them that the world was full of such evil creatures. “Fear will stop you from enjoying this. The monsters’ job is to plant the seed in your mind and drive you crazy. You have to let go, you have to believe.” His intention hadn’t been for the conversation to go this way, so serious and grim and so personal. She was noticeable uncomfortable and was remembering something that obviously wasn’t very pleasant. The tension was quickly broken by someone grabbing Charlie by the shoulder; Gale hadn’t seen that one coming, probably because he had been too distracted. His first reaction was to get ready for an attack but it was quickly discarded as Charlie seemed to know him. There, he must be one of the brothers she had been talking about, and he was not very pleased with Gale. Glaring at him all the time in what Ryan had surely hoped to be menacing, Gale could only try and hide his laugh. This was very amusing, indeed, and he had the feeling he would never be bored again with such a girl as friend. At the unwanted attention, Gale only gave the brother a big smile and held his hands up in surrender. Apparently, overprotective was a misunderstanding. Once the guy walked away, Gale turned to Charlie and couldn’t help himself anymore; he started laughing so much that tears were running down his cheeks. “So we have plans…” He tried to breathe deeply to calm himself down and cleaned the tears from his face. “Shall I be worried?” He said, pointing with his head the direction Ryan had took off earlier. “I enjoy your company but it’s not interesting enough to risk my life, I’m afraid.” Not that he was really scared, there were few things that could scare Gale off and an overprotective brother wasn’t one of them. “So, Lady Charlie…” He said looking at her with an interested spark in his eyes and still trying to hide his big grin. “What are those plans for tonight that I had no idea about?” He stopped a moment to buy peaches from a nearby merchant and offered one to her while he paid and bit his own juicy one. “Taste it, you will never find fruit like this. He grows them himself, all natural and handmade, like the old good times.” [/div] [/div]
